Whether the return of essential military service is inevitable. The conscription disappeared in Poland in 2010 – in fact it did not vanish and was not abolished, it was suspended for an indefinite period, for troubled times. specified – as it seems – have just arrived, and more and more politicians are talking about the request to reconstruct compulsory enlistment. "We must suspend the essential military service. We request to spend more time on training the public" – stressed BBN head Sławomir Cenckiewicz on RMF FM.

Sławomir Cenckiewicz of the National safety Office at the Presidential Palace was asked on RMF FM radio whether the current time was not appropriate to reconstruct essential military service. 1 of president Nawrocki's closest associates responded... yes, but with a tiny “star”. Cenckiewicz stated that “those who suspended” the intake should now ‘discontinue’ it.

"It is in my head part of a broader plan, an idea. We request to start talking about threats directly, besides by preparing the public for these threats," he said.

This is not the only action that, in the opinion of the head of the BBN, should be taken by the state in war conditions beyond our east border. "We must devote more time to training society, to building specified alternate places for civilian protection", Cenckiewicz mentioned.

Restoring essential military service would be the largest revolution in the army since 2010, erstwhile the Polish Army became a professional army. The conscription was suspended for an indefinite period by the then national defence minister in the government of Donald Tusk, Bogdan Klich.
