Several wreaths were left in front of the RSI Europe building in Vilnius and a photograph of Tomas Milašauskas's company manager with a black ribbon. Milašauskas lives and runs a company producing unmanned systems, which the army in Ukraine uses. Almost at the same time akin objects appeared in front of the office of the Czech defence group CSG, alongside the photograph of manager David Čurda.
Police are checking the incidental relationship.
Lithuanian police have detained a individual suspected of delivering the wreaths. According to the information cited by Interia, investigators check whether it acted on behalf of a Belarusian citizen. There is no final determination of who organised both events or whether they were coordinated.
Milašauskas considered leaving the wreaths as an effort to intimidate and announced the continuation of work. Event fits into wider warnings of Lithuania against possible Russian provocations. It is worth remembering the fresh disinformation operation aimed at Polish and Czech relations. In both cases, the final assessment shall be the work of the service concerned.
