Britain has a problem with immigration, but that doesn't explain the riot

The riot of August 2024 did not happen in vacuum. They were not only driven by anger over immigration, but besides by opposition to the economical and social collapse of Britain. The era of austerity under subsequent conservative governments resulted in a fall in the efficiency of local authorities and public services. erstwhile times are good, immigrants are valued doctors, plumbers, builders and bus drivers. erstwhile they are evil, they are the easiest goal of social anger.
