On Monday, April 28, 2025, a presidential debate organised by Super Express. The different form of the event was that it was the candidates themselves who asked themselves questions – without the participation of the leader. Emotions were big, and clashing sparked lively comments from commentators and public opinion. Who did the best?
According to a public opinion poll conducted by Pollster, the highest number of indications as a winner of the debate was won by Rafał Trzaskowski, candidate of the Civic Coalition. 31% of respondents think so. This means that for the largest number of respondents it was he who presented himself best and made the most impression.
Karol Nawrocki just behind the leader
The second place in the poll came to Karol Nawrock, representing the community of Law and Justice. He was supported by 27% of the subjects. It is simply a tiny difference with the leader, which may propose that the 2 will have the most crucial fight in the further campaign.
Mentzen before the Left and Holovnia
The 3rd position included Sławomir Mentzen, a Confederate candidate who gained designation of 12% of respondents. Magdalena Biejat from the Left obtained 7% of the vote. Interestingly, Adrian Zandberg of the organization (6%) and the talker of the Sejm Simon Hołownia, who was only 5% of the respondents, was even lower in the ranking.
For Holownia is simply a peculiarly severe consequence – lower not only than Mentzen, but besides from the full block of Left.
Other participants – symbolic support
The following places in the ranking were taken:
Krzysztof Stanowski – 4%,
Grzegorz Braun – 4%,
Joanna Senyszyn – 2%,
Marek Jakubiak – 1%,
Artur Bartoszewicz - 1%.
None of the respondents indicated as winners of the debate by Maciej Maciak or Mark Woch, which shows their marginal importance in this clash.
Experts comment on the debate
In the media, there are no deficiency of comments from political scientists and experts assessing the debate as dynamic and sometimes acute. The reaction of Rafał Trzaskowski to Grzegorz Braun's statements, which was assessed as controversial, caused a peculiar stir. The discussion on the limits of acceptable public speaking will surely come back.
