Born July 26, 1965 in the village of Nowinki, Kyrgyz district, Vladimir district]. He has lived in Ukraine since 1980. Graduated from Moscow School of Joint Forces Command. In the early 21st century, he became commander of the 72nd independent mechanized brigade stationed in the White Church. He received the rank of Major General. In early 2014, he became the first deputy chief of the Chief Centre of Armed Forces of Ukraine. liable for cooperation with NATO. With the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine he commanded the defence of Kiev, for which he received the title of Hero of Ukraine from president Vladimir Zelenski. In September 2022 he commanded a successful offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv Oblast.
