Karol Nawrocki assured that as president he would proceed to work in Mentzen's alleged eighth. The president-elect thus referred to the paper he signed during the gathering with the Confederate leader.
Prior to the second circular of the presidential election, Nawrocki signed the "Eight Mentzen", a list of demands of the Confederate leader. It includes, among another things, the fact that the future president will not sign a taxation increase or agree to Ukraine's entry into NATO.
– This is why I signed this program, these 8 points, to implement it as the future president of Poland. There are at least 4 points in these 8 points from my program. We didn't date Sławomir Menn to say, erstwhile I was elected president, that I wasn't going to continue. I take it seriously. – he spoke in a conversation with tv in Poland24.
Eight Mentzen Points
Mentzen's declaration included 8 points. The signatories were to undertake not to sign any law raising existing taxes, limiting cash turnover and limiting “the freedom to express views in accordance with the Polish Constitution”.
Mentzen besides expects that the president will not agree to send Polish soldiers to Ukraine, as well as to argue ratification of Ukraine's accession to NATO. Mentzen besides wanted not to transmit "any competence of the Polish authority to European bodies".
