Yesterday, 8 July this year, a long-established safety agreement was signed in Warsaw between Kiev and the Warsaw government Donald Tusk. The text was initially published only by the Ukrainian side. Now we have access to the Polish version. This is another faithful act, according to which the beneficiary of the “agreement” is only 1 of the parties, as if we had lost the war to Ukraine.
We know the full content of the deal with Ukraine. A peculiar press conference was organised on the occasion of its signing. Poland confirmed in this paper that Ukraine “It belongs to the European household and that its future lies in the EU”. There is virtually not a single passage in the paper from which it could be concluded that Poland is gaining something, even in symbolic terms. There are only vague announcements of historical cooperation from which nothing concrete is apparent. Moreover, they can besides bring further impacts on historical truth, e.g. in the issue of the Volyn massacre. As to the specifics – is full of only fresh financial and material obligations on the Polish side.
In practice, this paper proves that the Tusk government is the same servant of the Ukrainian people as the Moravian government. This is proof of political naivety, foolishness and – let us not be afraid of these words – National treason.
