The WB Group provided precedence structures for the CHIME satellite developed by Thales Alenia Space under the mandate of the European Space Agency. WB Centrum Komposytów z Czechowice-Dziedzic is the only Polish entity capable of creating structural panels for orbital platforms. This confirms the capacity of the WB Group to cooperate internationally and to operate in the space sector.
The WB Center of Composites has implemented the first transportation of CHIME satellite structural panels built by Thales Alenia Space on behalf of the European Space Agency. This is another supply of first-class structures for orbital platforms from Czechowice-Dziedzic, confirming the capabilities of the WB Group for global cooperation and operations in the space sector.
The panels manufactured by WB Center of Composites will be utilized for the CHIME reflection satellite (Copernicus Hyperspectral Imaging Mission for the Environment). The platform will supply data collection for the creation of agriculture and biodiversity management services and information on dirt properties.
– CHIME is another satellite that will be built from structural panels produced by the WB Center of Composites for Thales Alenia Space. We previously provided structures for the geostationary satellites of the Spacebus Neo household developed by this company, which are utilized by global telecommunications operators," said Bartłomiej Płonka, president of the WB Center of Composites.
The company, which is part of the WB Group, is the only Polish entity with the competence to execute advanced work in creating structural panels for orbital platforms. The capabilities of the WB Group in this manufacture confirm the many effective removals of the structures produced into space.
