Kamiński received a advice from Przemysław Czarnek to lead the election list in Lublin Voivodeship, while Wąsik is to become a candidate for Mazowsz. Apart from them, the names of another politicians, on which Jarosław Kaczyński intends to place.
Przemysław Czarnek as president of the Provincial Board of Law and Justice in Lublin Voivodeship has a key function in recommending the list of candidates for the European Parliament established by the regional authorities.
On Monday, the board of Lublin PiS gathered and accepted the draft list of Czarnek, where Mariusz Kamiński takes the lead. This confirms that speculation about the alleged anti-Kamiński action by interior factions in the organization appears to be unfounded. The origin that Virtual Poland refers to confirms that Kamiński is simply a candidate on the list.

Maciej Wąsik, whose – which is unofficially – is recommended by Marek Suski, president of the Management Board of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in PiS, is besides to run in the elections for the Europarliament. Suski told the HR that the list of candidates would be presented at a gathering of the political committee of the party, but now he does not want to uncover circumstantial names.

At this point, let us remind that Mariusz Kamiński, the erstwhile manager of the Central Anti-corruption Office, and his deputy, Maciej Wąsik, were sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment of the alleged 2007 land scandal. During this time, the CBA under Kamiński's leadership was to analyse the alleged reception of bribes by then Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Self-defense of Andrzej Lepper in exchange for helping to transform the land in Mazury. However, these allegations were unsuccessful in proving.
In 2015, the court sentenced Kamiński and Wąsik to severe prison sentences, justifying that they carried out inciting actions to incite corruption and falsified papers in connection with the case. Before his fresh function as Minister of Interior and Administration in the government of Mateusz Morawiecki, Mariusz Kamiński served as head of CBA.
In December 2023, after examining an appeal against the judgement of the court of First Instance, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik were yet sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and received a five-year ban on public service. As a consequence of this ruling, the talker of the Sejm announced the termination of their parliamentary mandates.
Both Kamiński, Wąsik and president Andrzej Duda did not recognise this decision, arguing that according to the President's Chancellery the conviction was annulled by a 2015 presidential pardon. In the parliamentary election of 2023, Mariusz Kamiński successfully applied for a re-appointed parliamentary mandate to the Polish Sejm as leader of the list of Law and Justice in territory No. 7 in Lublin Voivodeship.
