In the Turkish Parliament, genocide is discussed reluctantly. When, in 2021, Armenian opposition MP Garo Paylan applied for designation by Medjugorje of the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Empire, to which Ankara inactive denies, the MP from the President's organization threatened to re-genocide him.
