"We fight for Polish transport! No substance who's on the another side.”

On the Polish-Ukrainian border there is simply a protest of Polish carriers and farmers who are fighting for their companies, farms and jobs. Not everyone understands what transport demands. Although the protest has already been going on since 6 November, and the first informing protests took place many months ago.

The deficiency of knowing of the reasons and how the protest takes place is frequently due to the fact that the media has been missing the issue of the transport manufacture for rather a long time. Mainly the problem of beginning to the European marketplace for companies from the east border. Companies that do not gotta impose any burden on Polish transport companies of the European Union. Among another things, the burden of the mobility package. This makes Ukrainian companies much more competitive towards Polish companies and displaces Polish companies from the Polish market! That's the essence of the problem. Many Polish transport companies have faced a phenomenon of bankruptcy, while the sector is developing rapidly in Ukraine.

There are besides accusations, and even attacks online, mainly from Ukrainian net users, with allegations that protesters are acting in Russia's interest. That is not true. The protest is directed only at commercial transport. No humanitarian transport, no military is blocked at the border. And even cars are not blocked. However, this must be explained very powerfully and for a long time. Even in Polish media.

Rafał Mekler: Yesterday at the editor of Agnieszka Gozdyra I had a question about my pro-Russianity/anti-Ukrainianity so I reminded our protest of May this year where we demanded the same as today. Where were we blocking the Polish-Belarusian crossing in Koroszczyn, then what were we? We fight for Polish transport, no substance who is on the another side.
