According to this proposal, students in all types of schools – from kindergarten to secondary schools – would be obliged to participate in 2 hours of religion or ethics per week. Parents or adult students would be obliged to make a declaration of choice between religion and ethics by 10 July each year. The task besides assumes the anticipation of participating in both classes. The fresh solutions would apply to both public and private schools.
According to the project, assessments of religion or ethics are to be on school certificates, to influence promotion to the next class and to be included in the average grade.
Limiting improvement opportunities
