The Center for Life and household has prepared an updated version of the "Compendium for the defence of Life" which answers questions about the substantive basis for the full protection of life from birth in an accessible and reliable manner. The premiere of the fresh publication took place at a conference on the occasion of the feast of life and the 30th anniversary of the encyclical "Evangelium vitae", which took place at the office of the Polish Episcopal Conference. Tomasz Rowinski, the writer who produced the second edition of the publication, pointed out during the conference the importance of the compendium of life protection for spreading pro-life movement arguments in public debate.

“In defence of life. Compendium of the essential knowledge" is simply a unique publication that answers questions about the fundamentals of the full protection of children's lives from birth in a reliable and at the same time highly accessible way.
The publication was created to fill the existing gap in cognition and supply sound arguments to all those for whom respect for human dignity and the defence of his life from the first moments of existence are fundamental values.
What distinguishes her is the fact that those who search answers to their questions will find a clue, appropriate data, a mention to circumstantial investigation and sources on each page. In this publication nothing comes from itself, everything here is justified.
An crucial aspect of the survey is the analysis of the provisions of national and global law, as well as the case law of the Constitutional Court (including the fundamental for the protection of the life of the unborn judgement of the Court of Justice of October 2020) and another papers which relate straight or indirectly to the protection of conceived life.
The publication answers key questions in the ongoing debate on abortion:
– Are we dealing with a man before birth? What does modern medicine say about the beginning of human life?

– Does the right of a pregnant female to decide her body include the life of her unborn child?

The publication was developed in 2020 by the Office of Analysis of the Life and household Center in cooperation with external experts. It is addressed in a peculiar way to those in power, publicists, teachers and educators. prof. Bogdan Chazan, Prof. Aleksander Nalaskowski, as well as Dr. Lidia Banowska and Dr. Grażyna Rybak, a specialist in pediatrics were among the consultants of the publications.
The premiere of the fresh compendium pro-life took place on 25 March – on the Day of the Celebration of Life – during the occasion. press conference on the 30th anniversary of the release of the encyclical "Evangelium vitae". The event discussed threats to life and how to prevent them.
– It is essential to conduct academic discourse and to approximate and disarm the doctrine of utilitarianism, which is present the dominant philosophy, in terms of ethics and objectifying man, not only in the prenatal phase of life. It produces a kind of myth, in which 1 or another man can simply be removed," said Tomasz Rowiński, a writer who developed a fresh edition of the compendium.
He besides added that the publication could play a major function in spreading the argumentation of pro-life movements in the Polish public debate.
