In “European Capital of Culture”, a private cultural initiative is hated

In “European Capital of Culture”, where an authoritative decides everything, he hates private initiative, especially in the area of culture.

The most celebrated Bielski scribe, creator and founder of the Władysław Reymont Museum of Literature in Bielsko-Biala, devoted nearly 40 years to realizing his dream. The Reymont Museum visited tens of thousands of people from all over the world, and this place, it became 1 of the tourist attractions of the city, which can be found in many guides.

Officials have been incapable to exploit this possible for years. They couldn't find a expression for cooperation. After all, it was a PRIVATE museum (!!!). For City Hall officials, private, it's always unnecessary, disgusting and just trouble-generating. Officials yet made their point last year. They bought all his work from a humble and sick, retired-scribie for a penny.

As a substance of fact, I work in the Parliament on the Committee on Culture. This year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of awarding the Nobel Prize to Władysław Reymont. In addition, we are celebrating the Year of Reymontowski, and hundreds of commemorative events are organized throughout Poland.

Bielsko-Biała could yet usage this pearl which brought us all destiny and show it to the world. So guess what the officials fighting for the title of the European Capital of Culture for Bielsko-White did? They locked the museum down with 4 triggers. Modrzejewski's works lie in the archive in Książnica, and officials are no longer in trouble.
