– The political reality is fresh due to the fact that we will have a fresh president, but the Constitution has not changed in Poland, our commitment has not changed and citizens' expectations have not changed. In Poland there is simply a government, which is simply a large duty, a large honour and, even if we feel that it may be harder than any of us thought it would be, then you are here from hard things and not easy things," said Prime Minister Tusk.
The vote of assurance was to be a kind of confirmation that the government inactive had a mandate to rule. It could besides be expected that the opposition after winning the presidential election could request a vote of distrust. Donald Tusk made a preemptive move.
