The Sejm decided on a vote of assurance for Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government. In the Wednesday vote, the lower chamber of the Polish Parliament confirmed the mandate of the current ruling team. 453 Members took part in the vote. 243 Members voted in favour of giving the government assurance and 210 were against. All parliamentarians in the Chamber took part in the vote – no abstained.

Wednesday, June 11, was a very crucial day for Donald Tusk and the full ruling coalition. After losing the presidential election, it was a test of the integrity of the Alliance of civilian Coalition, 3rd Way and Left.

"I turn to the vote of confidence, due to the fact that I have religion and assurance that we have a mandate to rule, to be full liable for what is happening in Poland," said Donald Tusk during his exposé hours before the vote.

The Sejm referred to the Chief of Government's appeal affirmatively. Most MPs were in favour of giving Donald Tusk's cabinet a vote of confidence. There were 453 Members in the Chamber, most of whom (243) voted for and 210 against. no of the parliamentarians taking part in the vote abstained.

How did the various parties vote?

There were no major surprises – groups that form part of the governing coalition voted to give the government a vote of confidence. "For" was voted by 157 Members of the Civic Coalition, 32 Members of the Polish People's organization (Third Road), 32 Members of Poland 2050 (Third Road) and 21 Members of the Left. The government was besides supported by independent MP Andrzej Gomoła.

The opposition parties focused their voices on the other side. Against giving the Government a vote of assurance was 182 MPs of Law and Justice, 16 Confederate MPs, 5 MPs together, 4 Republican MPs, as well as 3 MPs of the Confederation of the Polish Crown.
