– A fewer days ago, the U.S. side suggested that we should go back to 1 more step, while lawyers are working on an agreement—(to) a letter of intent that will show that) we have positive, constructive intentions (...). Therefore, the letter of intent, not the agreement itself, can be signed online today," said Zelenski at the briefing.
The president of Ukraine besides commented on the message made by U.S. president Donald Trump, who felt that Russia's Sunday attack on Sumy — in which more than 30 people were killed and more than 100 injured — was a “Russian error”.
— This peculiar Russian operation, which involves attacking Sumy, cannot be called a mistake. This is execution and this attack was directed here, in the center (Sum); (...) we cannot find excuses erstwhile hitting the city centre with missiles," said Zelenski.
