Zaduszki Wołyńskie 2024 in IPN Lublin report

This year's alleged Wołyński Souls took place on 29 November (on Friday), in the conference area of Lublin branch of IPN at Wodopojna Street.
Dr. Leon Popek - spirit of the moves of the task - besides appeared as the editor of the "Documents of Volyn crime". A gathering was devoted to the presentation of the second volume of this study. The correspondent was Dr. Paweł Sokołowski, co-editor of the publication. It contains accounts of witnesses of the Volhynia Rzeża Volyńska from a collection discovered in 2021 (during the demolition of the old home in Tarnobrzeg) held by Urszula Szumska. The archive is simply a evidence of witnesses of events – crimes – in Volyn and in east Galicia submitted to activists of the East Lands Committee.
The gathering was peculiarly crucial in relation to the declaration made a fewer days ago by the Ministers of abroad Affairs of Ukraine and Poland about the return to the search and exhumation of victims of the Volyn crime.
The evening ended with the performance of the vocal band “Hubal” with Hrubieszów performing Volyn songs.
