Ukrainian troops in the Kursk Oblast in Russia are surrounded, General Walerij Gierasimov says. This circuit, first since the Ukrainian offensive in the region, visited Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.
According to Vladimir Putin, quoted by Reuter, Russian troops are able to defeat the Ukrainians in the Kurdish circuit and completely free him.
The Dictator arrived at 1 of the command stations in the region on Wednesday – the spokesperson for Kremlin Dmitry Pieskov informed. This was the first visit of the Russian leader in the region to attack Ukraine in August 2024.
Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces General Walerij Gierasimov, in turn, claims that the Russian forces have surrounded Ukrainian troops in the Kursk Oblast.

According to Gierasimov, quoted by the propaganda RIA Novosti, Russia's armed forces "allowed over 1,1 1000 square kilometres of territory in the Kursk border".
– In the last 5 days, 24 settlements and 259 square km in the region have been released. In any areas, troops from the Kursk border crossed the state border and entered the area of the Sumsk Oblast, says the Russian general.
According to him, Ukraine lost 67,000 soldiers in this region.
– Kiev wanted to make a bridgehead in the Kursk Oblast and make this a bargaining chip. Kiev's plans in the Kursk region failed," he said.
– I very much hope that all the combat missions which our units face will, no doubt, be completed – quotes Putin propaganda RIA Novosti.
Earlier on Wednesday, Ukrainian media reported, citing DeepState's maps of the task that the Armed Forces of Ukraine withdrew from Russia's Suja, but stay inactive in villages west of this village in the Kursk Oblast.
