Viktor Orbán: Poland is in the hands of the Soros Empire

This opinion was expressed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban during the János Hunyadi Award ceremony. This year prof. Ryszard Legutko was awarded the award.

The aim of the János Hunyadi global Prize is to reward prominent personalities who have done much for European freedom and independence, for cooperation between nations and for the protection of the values underlying European identity: the Greek-Roman cultural tradition and the Christian strategy of values. Legutko received a prize for promoting European cooperation in respect of the sovereignty of national states, for philosophically exposing the totalitarian features of liberal democracy, for decades of public and academic work, and for the steadfast advocatement of Christian values, ideals of freedom and independency in the European Parliament.

"He is simply a prof. of doctrine who not only learned from history, but besides utilized past to foretell what would happen next. And everything he predicted came true," said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, referring to the winner. In his speech, Orban stressed that it truly happened as the prof. predicted, and “the progressive liberals have indeed become like communists, and present they truly are a threat to our freedom due to the fact that they are trying to prosecute their own utopian feverish dreams.”

In his speech he praised the winner due to the fact that he was the first to see the same trend in investigation on the European Union. Orbán thanked Ryszard Legutka for his individual work's contribution to the freedom of Hungarians, due to the fact that he managed to realize the mystery of effective opposition on the example of Poles.

Expressing appreciation for the work of the winner, he stressed that "he is not the man who first saw this relation [the model of communism in progressive liberalism], but besides the man who first spoke of it." In this sense, he besides greeted the winner as a brave man. “I didn’t realize what he was telling us. We thought, and I thought so too, that of course there are all kinds of disputes with liberals, but it actually fits into the free, loving tradition of the West.”

Orbán admitted his earlier views, adding that it was Legutko who pointed out that it was a serious mistake. This is simply a serious mistake, due to the fact that this debate is not something that usually takes place in Western Europe's cultural circles, between different ideologies that love freedom.

“Perhaps we can justify ourselves by saying that if you read the writings of the founding fathers, you will see that the debate between the federalists and sovereignists was not always the same as today. It was not always that the Feds wanted to destruct political reasoning and political actors defending the foundations of the national state," he stressed. This debate was erstwhile inspiring, intellectually ambitious. But this has changed now, due to the fact that the foundations of Europe are no longer based on Catholic universality.

Referring besides to the professor's writings, the Prime Minister took the view that progressive liberals who took the places of those acquainted with the thought of Catholic universality – specified as Schumann, Monet or De Gaspari – "are not curious in the European nation. They are only curious in their own ideals, and their policy consists in their desire to implement them. If the price for implementing these ideas is to dismantle European manufacture and agriculture, it will. If the price of their plan is to erase Europe's cultural past through illegal migration, they will too."

He pointed out, adding that there is besides a large problem on another front, namely that sovereign forces have weakened, especially with the British leaving, who think in terms of national states. With the departure of the British, Central Europe remained a representation of the imagination of sovereignty, but the region besides shows signs of division. Referring to the recipient's homeland, he pointed out that Poles and Hungarians always agreed on the issue of sovereignty; "Without wanting to interfere in the affairs of prof. Leguta's country, who is rather well known to him, but from here in Budapest, it seems that Soros' empire came to power in Poland, and this is the worst omen Hungary can imagine."

However, at the end of the speech, he expressed hopeful thoughts. He explained that after many decades, he felt that the sovereign people of Central Europe are not alone, and in Germany, France, Spain and Portugal, not to mention the Netherlands, there is ferment and agitation. He besides added that erstwhile dark clouds gather over Europe, there are always people who do not give up. Changed János Hunyadi, Jan Sobieski, Károl Hammer and Prof. Legutka. "We have only 1 task, ladies and gentlemen: we must ally with prof. Legutka," concluded Orbán, adding that if Hunyadi were among us today, he would surely say the same, and that "take advantage of the chance to win the elections ahead of us, in another words, in political terms: take Brussels!"

Ryszard Legutko, who was the main character of the evening, expressed his gratitude for giving him the János Hunyadi Award: “I received this award for defending European values and freedoms. European values and freedom are at stake and must be protected," he concluded. According to the professor, this situation arose present due to the fact that the concept of Europe was politically colonized and deprived of deeper, holistic sense. According to the winner, apparent things stay unnoticed, and apparent lies can be considered obvious, because the left has monopolized the European Union and turned it into a political corporation. "When I go to sessions of the European Parliament, I feel like I'm undergoing motivational training or being a associate of the Scientological Church" – he shared his individual reflection.
