During his statement, Cardinal Parolin warned against Ukraine's approval to usage weapons supplied by NATO in Russia, indicating that this could lead to a "uncontrollable escalation" of the conflict. "This is simply a truly worrying prospect," he said, referring to the possible consequences of specified action, on the margins of the presentation of the book on Vatican banking in Milan.
Cardinal Parolin stressed that everyone who cares about the future of the planet should be afraid about the anticipation of further escalation. He pointed out that specified escalation could get out of control, which would be a serious global threat.

During a press conference in Prague, after an informal gathering of NATO abroad Ministers, Blinken did not specify whether Biden's licence could cover another Russian cities and targets deeper in Russia.
He stated that Washington's decision was the consequence of an American strategy to adapt to the situation on the battlefield. Currently, said Blinken, the United States responds to what was observed in the Kharkiv region and its surroundings.
“In the last fewer weeks Ukraine has asked us to let us to usage our weapons to defend against this aggression, including the Russian forces that gather on the Russian side of the border and then attack Ukraine,” said Blinken.
“And it went straight to the president, who, as you have heard, agreed to usage our weapons for this purpose. In the future, we will proceed to do what we have done so far, which is to adapt if necessary," said Blinken.
