There is presently only 1 plant in the U.S. that has the anticipation of producing full barrels for M1 Abrams tanks and M109 and M777. We are talking here about the plant Watervliet Arsenal located in the state of fresh York in Albany, which has increased its performance 3 times since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine due to the request for specified elements. The Russian assault has become a flywheel of increased request for barrels for tanks and artillery, which are a fast-wearing component (especially in war conditions), but the waiting time for them is long. The only solution to this problem is to increase the capacity of existing plants or to build fresh ones.
