U.S. Vice president J.D. Vance said in an interview with tv channel 2WAY TONIGHT that Ukraine should not join NATO – he reported on Tuesday morning the Ukrainian fact portal.
"As far as I know, we do not have an authoritative alliance agreement with Ukraine. [...] Ukraine should not join NATO," stated the American vice president. He added that on certain issues, cooperation with Kiev would be developed, but in another matters, "the positions will be diverging".
Vance besides reiterated earlier demands of the Washington administration that Ukraine "must halt attacks on Russian energy facilities".
