The U.S. reduces armored troops and... accelerates modernization

Changes in the structures of armored units are part of the fresh US Army modernisation and restructuring programme announced by defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Army Secretary Dan Driscoll. It is intended, among another things, to increase the saturation of U.S. land troops with unmanned platforms and means to combat them (in 1-2 years, at platoon and company levels), as well as to increase mobility and the ability to destruct targets in the depth of the enemy's territory.
