The United States announced on Thursday that they would intensify efforts to prevent people exposed to Ebola from entering. Passengers travelling to the US will gotta make a message that during the last
21 days did not reside in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
An order issued by the American Center for illness Control and Prevention (CDC) will enter into force on Tuesday
November 3rd. It requires all passengers travelling to the US to make a statement,
in digital or paper form.
Reuters recalled that the CDC had previously banned entry into the US for foreigners who had been in Uganda or South Sudan in the last 3 weeks as part of the fight against Ebola virus spread.
In addition, since May there have been rules prohibiting the entry of air passengers who stayed in the DRC during the 3 weeks preceding their journey, where the epicentre of the epidemic is located. In July, restrictions were extended to US citizens.
Today the CDC announced a conference call
with representatives of the major American
and abroad airlines to explain in item how carriers should adapt to the fresh requirements.
