Deportations of illegal migrants, carried out systematically by American services, have resulted in a crucial decrease in illegal incursions within the country. In this case Donald Trump has consistently implemented his electoral promises.

"Using extraordinary measures and leading a widely publicized action to deport immigrants, Donald Trump has practically eliminated illegal immigration into the United States," reports PAP.

Within six months of taking power, Trump did what he promised his supporters in the election campaign: he stopped the influx of people illegally crossing the border. In June, service officers encountered the smallest number of people always trying to enter the US illegally – only 6,000. no of these immigrants were allowed into the country.

The scale of this regulation is powerful. There are 93% less cases of illegal migration compared to Joe Biden's presidency – especially compared to the highest crisis in 2024, erstwhile the number of people detained at the border repeatedly exceeded 10 000 per day.

Success in securing the country's territory has brought a number of decisive steps. The U.S. president declared a state of emergency on the border, suspended the right to apply for asylum, returning almost everyone crossing the border beyond border crossings and sent troops to the border.

Although Trump has not yet fulfilled his promise to carry out the "largest deportation operation in the past of the country", involving millions of immigrants, this is taking on pace. By June this year, more than 65,000 people were detained. These numbers do not disagree much from the rate of deportation in the days of Presidents Biden and Obama, but the number of detentions of illegal immigrants in the country has been importantly increased for a long time (in Biden's term, most of the deportees were migrants detained at the border).

Services to combat illegal migration stating that 70 percent of those deported had crimes or misdemeanors in their records. In most cases, these were road or immigration offences. Only just over 10% were convicted of violent crimes, and little than 1% were killers.
