"Rubio and Sybiha discussed the request for bold diplomacy to end the war through negotiations leading to lasting peace. Secretary Rubio stressed the U.S. commitment to Ukraine's independency and stableness of Ukraine and the region," spokeswoman Tammy Bruce wrote in a short announcement from the first discussion of the heads of diplomacy of both states.
The message lacked words about the support of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity, which have so far usually been included in ministry messages.
Rubio embarks on Thursday on his second abroad trip, whose first halt will be to attend the Munich safety Conference. The Secretary of State was listed by president Trump among officials who have “immediately” to negociate with Russia.
