"Today's attack of Russian forces on Palm Sunday for civilian purposes in Sumach exceeds all limits of decency. There are dozens of killed and injured civilians," Kellogg wrote on platform X.
“As a erstwhile military commander, I know my way around targets and that is inappropriate. Therefore, president (Donald) Trump is working hard to end this war," he added.
Kellogg's message is the first consequence by the U.S. administration to an attack in which at least 32 people died. It is besides the strongest criticism of Russian actions to date since the beginning of talks on the end of the war, although Kellogg's function in this issue has been limited.
