The full fleet of tankers, reconnaissance aircraft and early informing machines belonging to the U.S. Air Force have been grounded in fresh weeks due to 1 faulty component of the Boeing 707. It required an exchange in, for example, 24 of the 90 controlled KC-135 Stratotanker tankers, but the problem was besides addressed by the exploratory RC-135/WC-135 and key for E-3 Sentry air operations. They were the last ones to pass the check, but the number of grounded aircraft was not revealed.
