Russia and the U.S. publically expressed their views on U.S. spy drone flights across the Black Sea – an inevitable clash
The U.S. position expressed by the Pentagon: "The United States will proceed to fly drones over global waters due to the fact that it is permissible by global law".
This is simply a consequence to the position of Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation published this morning: "According to the Ministry, unmanned aircraft are conducting the reconnaissance and "designation of targets of precision weapons" provided by Ukraine for attacks on Russian targets.
In this regard, Defence Minister Andrei Bielousov instructed the Russian Armed Forces General Staff to "take immediate action in consequence to provocations". At noon, Russian MON published the position: “Statement by the Russian Ministry of Defence on American drones in the Black Sea. The Russian Ministry of Defence notes the increased strength of flights to the Black Sea of strategical unmanned U.S. aircraft that carry out the recognition and designation of precise weapons targets provided to armed forces Ukraine by Western states to hit Russian targets.
This indicates the increasing engagement of the United States and NATO states in the conflict in Ukraine on the side of the Kiev regime. specified flights importantly increase the likelihood of incidents in airspace involving Russian Air and Space Force aircraft, which increases the hazard of a direct confrontation of the alliance with the Russian Federation. The NATO countries will be responsible.
The Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Bielousov instructed the Staff General of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to present proposals for measures to respond promptly to provocations.’
