The municipality of Volomin pointed out the problem on its Facebook page. The entry included a photograph of the contents of the garbage bags that residents left behind. “NOT REPRESENTATION!”
Glass bags should be packed with glass and bottles or jars which do not request to be washed, but should be completely emptied of the contents. However, we do not put glasses, glasses or ceramics in the green bag. These should go into the mixed waste container.
"Not all glass can be recycled! Dirty or wet paper pollutes another paper that will no longer be processed!’ The municipal authorities remind that the ill-segregated waste will be paid by all residents, as it will consequence in an increase in the price for waste collection.
"The deficiency of segregation and contamination of fractions make waste no longer available for recycling, and hence all of us gotta bear the cost of storing or disposing of waste," says the municipality, which recalls that since 2020 waste segregation has been mandatory throughout Poland.
