Ryszard Widelski was a soldier of the Home Army, and after the war he was an underground activist of independency and organizer of 1 of the Warsaw intelligence networks of the Association “Freedom and Independence”. He was born on 19 August 1913 in Warsaw. During the German business he commanded a platoon in the 1st Brodno-Pelcownica Oblast VI Prague AK. After the end of the war, he continued his activities for independent Poland. From 1946, he organized an intelligence network in Warsaw about the code names "Siren" and "Wisła", which collected information, among others, on the military, Civic Militia and the communist state
structures.In February 1948 he was arrested by officials of the Ministry of Public Security. After a heavy, long-term investigation, the Military territory Court in Warsaw sentenced him to death penalty. On 28 January 1949, he was killed in MBP prison at Rakowiecka Street.
