Reuter Agency recalls that Kellogg was sometimes more critical of Russian aggression in Ukraine than another officials of the American administration. As an example, his harsh criticism was directed toward Russia for a massive attack on Ukraine during Christmas.
"Christmas should be a time of peace, and yet Ukraine was brutally attacked on Christmas," wrote Kellogg on December 25 on platform X. "It is inappropriate to carry out large-scale rocket and drone attacks on the day of your birth," he added.
However, Kellogg, as Reuters recalls, consistently defended Trump's position on the war in Ukraine, including a fresh decision to halt the exchange of intelligence information with Kiev.
U.S. National safety Council spokesperson James Hewitt told NBC News that Kellogg remains “a valuable associate of the team, especially as regards negotiations with our European allies”
