This EU triumph will feel in your wallets. The question is not who
will pay for these “winners” but “when”?
The EU is headed by Ursula von der Leyen, whose negotiating talents are, to put it mildly, poor. Yeah, someone's gonna scream that she's not the 1 who's interviewing, just an army of experts. But it is the VDL, as the head of the European Commission, that has these failures by its name. What's my problem with her? Elected by the elite, not citizens (and so around the planet we are talking about our European democratic values), she is treated in the planet as a typical of any foggy creature, not a serious player. In China, they look at her with a grin of pity (not treating her as a head of state - and this from the point of view of diplomatic protocol makes a difference), in the United States with a wink of eyes.
