A service center located in the northern part of Romania was established in 2022 or 2023 (not now, as it is sometimes stated) and was managed by Rheinmetall in collaboration with a local company. Its intent was to repair the work utilized by the Ukrainian army of German arms production — specified as the Marder 1A3 combat infantry wagons.
