After a year of experience, collected during conducting preparatory classes for children from Ukraine in Wrocław, the Foundation of the National Educational Operator in the fresh school year develops the project. A Ukrainian Education Center was established in the Green Tower office building. There will be more Polish language learning and a care offer for children working parents.
The Ukrainian Education Center is located on 2 floors of the Green Tower A office building at Śrubowa Street 1 in Wrocław. The rooms were made available free of charge by Nokia, and the facility is simply a continuation and improvement of the task of preparatory classes, conducted in Wrocław by the National Educational Operator Foundation.
– We make a centre to aid children who do not talk Polish education. We have as many as 12 hours of Polish language classes and even the Ukrainian teacher and babysitter learn Polish with students – he explains Ewa Minakowska, manager of Leonardo Public Primary School, whose out-of-town branch will be the Ukrainian Education Centre. “In addition to learning Polish, we are besides implementing the programme basis. If children have difficulty knowing words and concepts, already from circumstantial subjects, Ukrainian teachers come to their aid.
The facility at Śrubowa Street in Wrocław is simply a modern educational space for children from 7 to 14 years of age. Its primary nonsubjective is to prepare students from Ukraine for a smooth, effective entry into the Polish education system. In addition to intensive learning of Polish – up to 12 hours a week – children will learn all basic subjects. So that they do not lose contact with an education program adapted to their age and skills.
Science, care, support
The classes are conducted by teachers and educators from Poland and Ukraine. Thanks to this, even for students who do not talk Polish there is no language barrier. Learning at UCE is completely free.
– Children are at the disposal of a kid psychologist, educator and speech therapist. We want to respond as shortly as possible,” explains the manager Ewa Minakowska. Children and youth open here. It is easier for them to go to the Polish school erstwhile they realize what they are saying. They have no shortcomings from the Polish curriculum and most importantly, by breaking the language barrier, they can establish relations with Polish students.

In addition to education and care of specialists, the Ukrainian Education Centre will besides host community activities as well as additional activities, developing hobbies and students' interests. This model of education is implemented by the National Educational Operator in all its schools and kindergartens. It will besides be available to UCE subjects.
One school, 2 certificates
In addition, crucial information for many parents will be that the Centre will besides be able to implement a curriculum for teaching Ukrainian primary school. In agreement with the primary school of Ukrainian Kharkiv, willing students will be able to participate in distant lessons of Ukrainian school. Thanks to this, at the end of the upcoming school year, in addition to the certificate of completion of preparatory wards which open the door to learning in the Polish school, they will besides receive a certificate of Ukrainian school.

In the coming school year, the National Educational Operator of projects supporting students from Ukraine will conduct several. In addition to the Ukrainian Education Centre in the capital of Lower Silesia, the preparatory classes will besides work at the OOO School of the Harbor in Łódź. For students who participated in the task Let's go Together To the School in Gdańsk SP Hevelius, the facility will conduct additional Polish language lessons and integration classes.
Foundation of the National Educational Operator For 22 years, he has supported local governments in carrying out educational tasks and projects. The Foundation is simply a public benefit organisation. He runs free kindergartens and schools throughout Poland. Over 7,600 children are taught in 63 facilities, presently run by the OOO Foundation.
