"Let's be honest, not stupid," emphasized Ukrainian soldier in his speech on social media. According to the military, “the Ukrainian state (...) is slow but relentlessly melting”, and Russia’s tactics work – although the army is moving slowly, further territorial conquests give it hope for victory. "If we focus on keeping the Russian Federation from feeding on our land, it will begin to starve and collapse," he stresses.
Russia stuck in Ukraine? The territorial conquest of the invaders seems insignificant, but a soldier of the armed forces Ukraine believes that even Russia's slow advancement cannot be underestimated.
"We consider the Russian territorial achievements to be insignificant compared to the objectives they set themselves: genocide of the Ukrainian people and demolition of Ukrainian statehood. But let's be honest, not stupid. That's not true!” he points out in an extended Facebook entry on Igor Łucenko.
"Russian tactics are effective. It works very well. The Ukrainian State, due to the fire, due to the demolition by fighting on the front of an expanding number of territories, slow but relentlessly melts," emphasised the Ukrainian soldier.
The media has frequently stressed the slow advancement of Russian troops. Łucenko recalls that in fresh months the enemy's army has gained an average of about 15 square km per day – at the same time it points out that it is 3 times more than in winter. It besides stresses that averaging can be deceptive in this case.
"The danger is that sometimes slow pace is not slow. At any time we can see that the advancement rate in a given week has increased 5, 10 times," the soldier notes.
What is very crucial in his opinion – all further mile gained provides Russian fuel in the form of a belief in victory. "These kilometers of eaten Ukrainian land and thousands of killed/harmed Ukrainians cultivate their faith, their spiritual belief, their imperialism. They let the Russian Federation to grow in its ambitions and draw inspiration, let its existence in its present form. This is the reason why the full planet is inactive afraid of Russians," writes Ukrainian military.
In reverse, Łucenko sees an chance for Ukraine. In his opinion, even the slow taking of the Russian Federation's territorial conquest may break the morale of its soldiers. "If we focus on keeping the Russian Federation from feeding on our land, it will begin to starve and collapse," Łucenko stresses and adds that the war will proceed and the Russian fire will intensify, but the deficiency of advancement or slow regression will build in them a sense that "their time is over", and sacrifice is not worth the case.
