The self-propelled 2S5 Hiacint-S cannons are 1 of those types of Ukrainian guns to which ammunition is presently very scarce due to russian origin and very tiny number of producers. In the case of Ukraine after the consumption of stocks prior to the Russian invasion, Finland was the only origin of stocks, which gave it along with an indefinite number of towed 2A36. This, of course, was only an ad hoc donation, which did not let for the maintenance of both versions of Jacints in operation. However, as it turns out, for respective months now Ukraine has been hit by ammunition intended for this kind of artillery and it is new.
