Tarnopol Police stopped a group of soldiers who commit kidnapping, extortion and theft, among others, in the Ukrainian Tarnopolskie and Ivanofrankowski circuits. Suspects held their victims for a fewer days, forced ransoms from them, and intimidated them from contacting law enforcement.
Ukrainian deserters kidnapped people and forced ransoms. The authorities of the Tarnopolskie territory informed about the detention of 7 military men who were accused of unlawful deprivation of liberty, extortion of funds, theft and torture.
– We have received operational information about the illegal activity of part of military personnel in the Tarnopolski region. In addition, we were contacted by local residents who complained of abuse of power by the same people – said the head of Tarnopolskie GDPDN Serhij Ziubanenko, quoted by Ukriformin service. As he added, the victims were usually completely random.
The attackers displayed a unique cruelty, taught on the front. The victims were beaten and held in utmost conditions for respective days. According to Ukrainian media, 1 of the victims, a resident of Tarnopol, was to be forced into a car and driven out of town. erstwhile the car stopped, the man was stripped naked, flooded with flammable substance, and then forced to escape from the driving car.
Another victim was assaulted in his car – he was forced to be dragged outside and moved to the torturer's car. The vehicle he was moving was stolen. The man was intimidated – he was threatened with beating if he decided to contact the police. Aggresors besides attacked 1 of the active soldiers who was undergoing rehabilitation. The military was shot by them in the street and exported in an unknown direction. By beating and threatening with weapons, he was asked to ransom 50,000 hryvnia.
Police have secured cell phones, vehicles, and weapons. Evidence was besides collected, specified as photos and videos taken by them. Officers besides made searches in Tarnopolski, Kiev and Kharkiv circuits. The investigation is ongoing and uniforms identify further individuals who may have been active in criminal activity.
OUR COMMENTS: As expected, Ukrainian war veterans behave like the worst thugs. Unfortunately, any of them will leave for Poland after the fight to join their families. Then these problems will besides affect Poles.
