The Małopolska Police detained a 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen who repeatedly violated Polish law, posing a threat to public security. A man surviving in the territory of the Suski region committed a number of offences and crimes, including driving in an intoxicated car and causing a traffic collision with a disabled vehicle.

Illegal behaviour and consequences

According to Małopolska Police:

"The man surviving in the territory of the Suski territory did not follow the legal order in force in the Republic of Poland, committing crimes and offences, specified as driving a motor vehicle twice in a state of inebriation, and causing a traffic collision with a vehicle not allowed to move".

After collecting evidence, the officers concluded that his actions posed a real threat to public order. In this regard, the Chief of State Police in Sucha Beskidska requested the Border defender to issue a decision on deportation.

Detention and transfer of Border Guard

The territory determined the whereabouts of the man and stopped him. They then handed it over to the officers of the Border defender Service in Zakopane, where the expulsion procedure from Poland will be carried out.

“This is why the Police Chief in Sucha Beskidzka sent a request to the Border defender office in Zakopane for a decision to oblige a foreigner to return to his country” – informs the police.

This is another case where a Ukrainian citizen, utilizing his stay in Poland, violates the law and must leave the country. Earlier akin decisions were made in cases of force or alcohol driving.

It is worth recalling another loud incident:

"A drunk Ukrainian stabbed a coworker in the face. He received a decision requiring him to leave Poland’.

Deportation decisions are taken on the basis of Polish law and global regulations, including the Geneva Convention on the position of Refugees, if necessary.
