In June 2022, a gruesome crime occurred in Interhealthy. A 21-year-old Ukrainian, Mikhail M., strangled 35-year-old Polka during casual intercourse, and then robbed her area and fled with the victim's car. Although the court initially considered his act to be the assassination of the SA in Szczecin, he changed the qualification of the act.

A gruesome crime in Interhealth

On June 15, 2022, tragedy occurred in a popular seaside resort. Mikhail M., a Ukrainian who came to Poland as a alleged "war refugee", met Polish 35-year-old at the bar. After drinking alcohol together, a female invited him to her hotel area where the intercourse occurred. During the process, the man strangled his victim and then moved her body into the bathroom, staged suicide and stole her things, including a telephone and a car.

Escape and detention

After the crime, Ukrainian fled to Germany, but after a fewer days he returned to Poland, where he was detained. In the course of his investigation, he admitted that he had "realised his sexual fantasy", but had no intention of killing a woman.

First sentence: 13,5 years in prison

The territory Court found that Mikhail M. acted with the alleged intention possible – he did not plan to kill, but consciously accepted the hazard of the victim's death. In 2024 he was sentenced to 13,5 years in prison for execution and theft.

The court eased the punishment

Not 13,5 but only 4.5 years of prison – such, a final conviction was heard by Myhajlo M. for inadvertently causing the death of disabled tourism. There was a execution earlier. However, the Court of Appeal in Szczecin partially acknowledged the right defence and changed the qualification of the act, and consequently besides the punishment dimension.

Case law: Is choking during sex a homicide?

In Polish law akin cases have already been considered. The courts frequently consider that if the perpetrator acted under the influence of "risked sexual practices", but did not have a direct intention to kill the victim, the qualification could be reduced. However, in this case there are voices that knowingly choking another individual should be treated as a peculiarly cruel form of violence.

Poles pay for irresponsible migration policy – continuing mistakes of the United Right and the Tusk coalition

The current situation of expulsions of foreigners breaking the law is only the tip of the iceberg of problems facing Poland as a consequence Unthinkable migration policy. Decisions taken by Government of the United Right in February 2022, concerning the beginning of borders under the pretext of war in Ukraine, have led to serious consequences for the safety of the country. And even worse, Donald Tusk's current coalition full supports these solutionscontinuing a dangerous course.

Who is responsible?

  • Law and Justice Government – In February 2022, the “war” cover introduced mass entry facilities for Ukrainians without adequate control mechanisms, which opened the door of the entry to Poland not only to “refugees”, but besides to criminals and people who abuse Poland's hospitality.
  • Tusk Coalition – alternatively of fixing the mistakes of the predecessors, maintains the same political line, ignoring the increasing threat to public order.

Real threats to Poland

  1. Increasing crime – as fresh cases show, illegal immigrants frequently break the law (stealing, driving drunk, avoiding deportation).
  2. System overload – Border Guards and services must deal with the wave of uncontrolled migration alternatively of focusing on actual threats.
  3. Security of citizens – the passiveness of the authorities makes Poles exposed to criminals who exploit gaps in the system.

Why are the media silent?

Both during the regulation of the Law and Justice and now, controlled by establishment media underestimate the problemwithout informing the public of the actual scale of the threat. alternatively of a fair debate, we have quieting uncomfortable facts and creating a false image of the situation.

Is there any chance of a change?

Unfortunately, both governments – both erstwhile and present – do not show the will to remedy this situation. Until Poles begin demanding acute verification of immigrants and effective deportation of criminalsThe problem will only deepen.

Poland needs a hard migration policy, not further irresponsible experiments at the expense of citizens' safety.
