The current protest of Polish as well as another European carriers against competition from Ukrainian colleagues takes place simultaneously with the dynamic improvement of production of factories in Poland. The second enjoy an expanding request from Ukraine for trucks.

The agreement between the European Union and Ukraine on unlimited road transport was signed in June 2022 and subsequently extended in March this year to June 2024, reports a fresh study by RMF FM. Previously, there was a limit of 160 1000 transports for both Ukrainian and Polish carriers. presently Polish protesters stress that the number of transports from Ukraine reaches millions.

The agreement was adopted unanimously by the countries of the European Union, including Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania. Why are these countries mentioned? Currently, carriers from these regions are protesting the influx of inexpensive transport competition from Ukraine. Competition is cheaper not only due to the lower salaries of Ukrainian drivers, but besides due to the deficiency of obligations related to EU standards which must be respected by carriers from Poland. However, it turns out that the losses suffered by Polish carriers are compensated by the increased activity of factories in Poland.

The latest Central Statistical Office newsletter on production of key products shows that in October the production of road tractors increased by 429% compared to the erstwhile year in terms of tonnage, and the number of specified tractors increased by 44.6%. They were produced 3 1000 40 in October and 23.3 1000 since the beginning of the year (an increase of 50.6%). The dynamics of production in the Polish dense goods manufacture only the plants active in the production of disinfectants surpassed.

Then the export of these vehicles to Ukraine, which was usually around PLN 10 million per month, abruptly increased to PLN 29 million, and in May already to PLN 51 million. It later remained at a comparatively advanced level, not falling usually below PLN 20 million, and in June this year it even reached a evidence of PLN 74 million.

In another words, the Traton Group, a German truck maker (MAN and Scania), located in Poland, enjoys excellent request for its products.
