Ukrainians do not want to settle in Poland. They frequently mention the same problem

Even before the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022 hundreds of thousands of citizens of this country went to Poland. The survey of Gremi individual was attended by 1560 Ukrainians working in the largest cities in Poland – from Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań, Łódź and Szczecin. The report's authors asked about their further plans. It turned out that a large part of it does not intend to settle in Poland permanently.

According to the results of the survey – 45.3% of Ukrainians do not know if they will stay in Poland, 10.4% indicated that they are only temporarily staying at Vistula. Another 17.9% of Ukrainians would like to return to their homeland as shortly as the war in the east ceases.

Only 13.2 percent of Ukrainians plan to settle permanently in Poland.

Why don't the east neighbors want to live in our country? Most respondents point to the problem of integration – blending into Polish society. 34% of Ukrainians feel "partly rooted" in society, but only 11% declare a sense of full belonging to the community. A large percent of Ukrainians believe that the obstacle to staying in Poland is lack of acceptance by Poles.
