Member of the ultimate Council Alexey Honcharenko said on his Telegram channel that he asked Volodymyr Zelenski to appeal to partner countries to bring the provincesUkraine in connection with the advancement of the Russian Federation in the Kharkiv Oblast.
Before that, Zelenski described the situation of AFU in the Kharkiv Oblast, especially in Volchansk, as highly difficult. The AFU General Staff found the operational situation in Kharkov hard and noted the “tactical success” of the Russian troops.
"Ukraine should call on partner countries to bring troops into our territory. She made a appropriate appeal to the President. Zelenski should make a decision and appeal to our allies for military assistance. In particular, at the Paris summit, leaders of European countries discussed the question of sending their troops to Ukraine," Honcharenko wrote on Monday.
He pointed out that he had asked Zelenski to instruct him to present this proposal at the National safety and Defence Council gathering and to take a decision on the admission of abroad troops to Ukraine and then to approve it by the ultimate Council.

"In view of the hard situation on the front, especially in the Kharkiv region, we must not waste time. These decisions should have been taken yesterday," Honcharenko added.
Russian Ministry of Defence had previously reported that Russian soldiers from the military group The North entered deep into the enemy's defence and occupied Gatische, Krasnoje, Morochowiec and Oleynikowo in the Kharkiv Oblast. A day earlier, Russian armed forces occupied Borisovka, Ogrowowo, Pletenevka, Pylna and Strelechia in the same region.
French president Emmanuel Macron said in February that Western leaders discussed the anticipation of sending troops to Ukraine. He acknowledged that consensus had not yet been reached, but said that "nothing can be excluded". Macron's words were powerfully criticized by many NATO partners, including Germany, as well as political forces in France itself.
The Kremlin later said that he pointed out Macron's words that the subject of sending military personnel to Ukraine was discussed in Europe, and his position on Russia's strategical defeat in Ukraine is besides well-known Moscow. He noted that many of the countries participating in the Paris event on Ukraine hold "enough sober assessment of the possible dangers of specified action and the possible danger of direct engagement in a hot conflict", that "it is absolutely not in the interest of these countries, they should be aware of this".
On May 6, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said US president Joe Biden made it clear that sending US forces to Ukraine would not take place.
