Ukrainian expelled from Poland after breaking into Wroclaw bar

Illegally staying in Poland, a Ukrainian citizen was detained after breaking into 1 of the local bars. The 26-year-old did not have valid residence permits, so the Border defender issued a decision on his immediate expulsion with a ban on entry into the Schengen area for 5 years.

Detention and expulsion decision

Police stopped a man after reporting a break-in at the Wrocław premises. It turned out that the Ukrainian had no legal position of residence in Poland. Therefore, the case went to the Border Guard, which decided to make a forced return.

"Because of the anticipation of a threat to safety and public order, the Wrocław Border defender officers issued a decision to the 26-year-old to immediately return" – informed the Border defender in an authoritative communication.

Five-year ban on entry into the Schengen area

The decision issued by the Border defender includes not only immediate expulsion from Poland but besides a five-year ban on entry into all Schengen countries. This means that a man will not be able to legally cross the border of any of these countries until 2030.

Officers escorted the detainee to the Polish-Ukrainian border, where they handed him over to Ukrainian services.

Public safety priority

This case shows that Polish services consistently respond to cases of illegal residence and crime among foreigners. Expulsion with a ban on entry is 1 of the harshest sanctions applicable to infringers.

Political negligence: Who is liable for this kind of threat?

Unfortunately, cases like this are not isolated. The preservation of any Ukrainian citizens, which pose a threat to the safety of Poles, is mostly the consequence of the policy of the Law and the current coalition. In February 2022 under the pretext of helping “war refugees”, without appropriate control and verification, thousands of people were admitted to Poland, including those with dubious reputation.

Both the erstwhile Government of the United Right and Donald Tusk's current cabinet, have underestimated the problem, treating him as irrelevant or trying to quiet him down. alternatively of effective solutions, specified as tightening border controls or consistent expulsion of perpetrators, we are dealing with silence and fake actions.

Meanwhile, Poles must bear the consequences of these negligencees. Do we truly gotta wait for further tragedies to get the authorities to take citizens' safety seriously?
