The town of Kyselivka is to be in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This means that the Ukrainian army's avant-garde won the "gate" to Chersonia. Behind Kyselivka is Córnobayivka, which became a symbol of Russian embarrassment at the confederate front. According to the War Report, the fight for Córnobayivka is ongoing. The Russian defence minister Sergei Szojgu, after a study by General Sergei Surovikin, ordered Russian troops to retreat to the another side of Dnieper, which means abandoning their position on the western shore.
