The flood situation in Poland is steadily deteriorating. Water floods another cities and destroys buildings. The net is full of shocking films showing what is happening in many smaller and larger towns.

Ukraine, despite the ongoing war, decided to aid Poland fight the cataclysm. Although Ukrainians themselves request specialists, Prime Minister Denys Szmyhal offered to send many of his rescuers along with equipment to our country.

Just a minute ago, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Szmyhal, sent me words of solidarity with Poland and the readiness to immediately send a 100 lifeguards equipped with specialized equipment to fight the flood. Moving – announced the Prime Minister on the X platform on 15 September.

In a erstwhile post published on the X platform, the Prime Minister reported that Poland would ask the European Union for support.

Financial support

The Prime Minister mentioned financial assistance for the floods on Saturday in Nysa. He then announced that fast assistance would be launched for the most affected as a consequence of a hard weather situation. Tusk stressed that the support would be akin to what his government introduced after the air trumpets in August 2008. At the time, it was decided that the victims would receive full damages and one-off benefits up to PLN 10 thousand.

Now he mentioned it on his social media. He added that the Minister of Defence had been commissioned to divert more forces to the most endangered areas.

The Tusk government declared to cover 100% of the losses, regardless of whether the victims were insured. From the peculiar intent reserve, PLN 25 million was allocated to the fast payment of benefits, and PLN 5 million was allocated to individual grants for persons who lost their property.

Ad hoc support

Ad hoc aid may be up to PLN 6 thousand. Up to PLN 200 1000 can be received for the renovation or reconstruction of the home or apartment, and to cover harm to the farm buildings the benefit can scope PLN 100 thousand. These appropriations will be paid after the committee has assessed the damage.

Allowances are paid by local social assistance centres and assistance can be provided regardless of income.
