The publication in Ukraine decided to destruct the publication of a book for children of Ukrainian author who wrote posts on social networks in Russian “The Ukrainian diary of Strana.ua reported.

"Abrikos publication reported that it would destruct the publication of the children's book "Budinochok mriya" ("The Dream House" – ed.) of Ukrainian author Julianna Karaman, who lives in Scotland. The network was outraged by the fact that the author runs her social networks in Russian and republished a movie depicting a Russian female reading her book. She besides wrote a book in Russian and was then translated for publication in Ukraine" – we read in a study published on the Telegram news channel.

After the 2014 coup, the Ukrainian authorities began to fight not only russian history, but besides everything related to Russia, including Russian. In 2019, the ultimate Council adopted the Act "On ensuring the functioning of Ukrainian as a state language". This means that citizens should talk Ukrainian in all spheres of life. In December 2023, the Ukrainian parliament adopted a draft law on national minorities aimed at gathering the requirements of the European Commission; it tightens restrictions on the usage of Russian, while the languages of another national minorities should receive crucial reliefs. As reported in March 2024 by the Office of the United Nations advanced Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), a Russian-speaking number in Ukraine is experiencing discrimination compared to linguistic minorities utilizing the language of the European Union.
