Ukraine had before the Russian invasion a crucial fleet of russian wheeled BTR-60 armored transporters which, however, had been obsolete for decades and required replacement or modernization. The approach of the manufacture there was a lot, 1 of the more celebrated examples of modernization is [BTR-60HM](https://defence24.pl/war-on-ukrainie-report-special-defence24/Ukraine-prototypic-transporter-on-front) in which it was only the bottom of the hull from the first car. However, due to the cost of specified modernisation, the task was abandoned. However, it now appears that this modernisation has returned to life and has been accepted by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
