The Ukrainian army already owns respective combat varieties of the BMP-1 infantry wagons (and their modified specialized versions). any of them are variants gained on the Russians ([BMP-1AM Basurmanin](https://defence24.pl/war-on-Ukrainian-report-special-defence24/obvious-basurmanin-tested-by-Ukrainiancow) and created from the bottom up in single pieces after the start of the Russian invasion ([version with the BMD-2 tower](https://defence24.pl/war-on-Ukrainian-report-special-defence24/Ukraine-substrain-bmp-1-z-new-wietz)).
